Welcome to my Woodshed

I have been making marionettes since my childhood. The puppets I make today use the traditional czech control, with strings attached to head, shoulders, back, hands and knees.

The Club is a group of friendly and laid back little folks from a forest near Amsterdam. They meet on a mossy patch under a big old willow to share their commmon passion, chess.

I asked them to stand as models for a group of figures I was whittling for a friend, and after a little persuation with a bottle of old mede they agreed. This is the result of the time we spent together.
